Completed in 1927, the United Artist Building was once recognized as the tallest structure in Los Angeles consisting of 13 stories at a height of 243 feet. Three of these floors give home to the historic United Artist Theatre, the first major premier house in Los Angeles. EPG was proud to work on the entitlements to bring the theatre back to life and change the office use to hotel. EPG obtained an entitlement for alcohol sales throughout the hotel, theatre, and rooftop, live entertainment, dancing, and spa services. Additionally, EPG obtained a revocable permit for sidewalk dining, removal of the red curb running the length of the building for passenger loading. EPG also handled ABC, police permits, and provided operational consulting for the hotel’s opening.
