Project Administrator, Construction & Development

Elizabeth Peterson Group, Inc. (EPG), a Los Angeles-based urban land-use and business development consulting firm, is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our Construction & Development Team. The Project Administrator will work directly with the Construction & Development Project Manager on projects in various stages from inception to project close out and completion. The position provides an exciting opportunity for professional growth and development in the Construction/Development industry while working on projects across California.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities Include:

  • Support the Project Manager on a wide variety of projects – ranging from small scale to ground up – from inception to project completion
  • Provide operational support including scheduling and data entry
  • Conduct research and compile reports
  • Follow through with agreed upon actions with minimal supervision
  • Serve as the Client Contact during project and maintain good relations
  • Assist with Business Development needs including marketing efforts and networking with potential clients
  • Show Initiative and demonstrate willingness to take on challenges with minimal supervision while understanding the scope of work and their role within the project
  • Coordinate complex activities for multiple projects
  • Collaborate with Project Management/Clientele for successful project completion
  • Oversee contract management and monitor all Subcontractors/Consultants
  • Ensure the Team remains on task (both within the office and any client teams), completing projects on-time and on-budget

  • Exceptional multitasking, problem-solving and prioritization skills
  • Self-motivated with strong planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent communications skills (professional)
  • Growth orientated and willing to learn about the Construction/Development industry in DTLA
  • An understanding of Construction/Development/LADBS/Plancheck is a plus
  • Excited about the Downtown Los Angeles Renaissance and passionate about cities

This is an entry-level, full-time position with benefits package including health and 401k.

Planning Intern – Spring 2019

Elizabeth Peterson Group, Inc. (EPG), a Los Angeles-based urban land-use and business development consulting firm, is seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for cities to assist our Planning Team beginning in March 2019. The position provides an opportunity to develop new and expand existing knowledge in comprehensive planning, urban development, and land use consulting.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist with the management of various projects
  • Conduct research, assisting with applications
  • Coordinate the preparation of meeting and hearing materials
  • Attend and support team members at hearings and meetings
  • Maintain files and records

Desired Qualities:

  • A detailed-oriented individual able to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent research, writing, and communications skills
  • A passion for collaborative work, urban communities, and historic buildings
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
  • Experience with community outreach
  • Enthusiastic, with an entrepreneurial spirit

Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning and Development, Business, or in a related field is a plus. Candidate may also be in the process of earning a bachelor’s degree.
